Welcome...
The holiday house "Gli Archi" is located right next to the arches of the ancient Acquedotto Felice, built in 1585 by Pope Sixtus V. The apartments, set in a building of only two floors, overlook a private courtyard, right in front of the arches of the aqueduct, so close that you will feel like you can touch it!! The entrance to the building is located along a traffic-free road that ends, after a few meters, at the entrance to the Torre del Fiscale park, connected to the archaeological park of the Aqueducts and the Appia Antica (Old Appian Way), naturalistic and archaeological parks that are unique in the world. Just 400 meters away is the metro stop of line "A" which will allow you to quickly reach all the main attractions of Rome: the Vatican museums and St. Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo de 'Fiori, the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums.
But our apartments are not only inviting for those interested in the monuments of ancient Rome:
- The Quadraro is "a town within the city" rich in ancient and contemporary history: during the German occupation it was known as the" Wasp's Nest ", the only place in Rome, together with the Vatican, where the partisans could find refuge. The characteristic of this "rebel township" is celebrated by numerous murals by local and international artists. Here you can experience the atmosphere of Rome as true citizens of the city and not just as ordinary tourists who are “on the outside looking in” at the authentic spirit that has animated Rome for over 2,700 years.
- In the neighborhood you will find a wide choice of clubs, restaurants and pubs that will satisfy every taste and palate: from kebabs, to Chinese food, Latin American, and of course Roman, as well as shops, supermarkets, outdoor food markets and department stores.
- The University of Tor Vergata and the two airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino can be easily reached.
- The Cinecittà film studios "Hollywood on the Tiber" can be reached in 5 subway stops or with a pleasant walk along Via Tuscolana, a bustling commercial district.
